Edinburgh Local Guide Updates: The Paper Mill, Cafe Portrait and New Photo Finds
As a Level 6 Local Guide, I’m always glad to share the places and small details that help people feel at home in a destination. My latest Google Maps contributions include two new Edinburgh-area reviews and fresh photos from familiar local favourites.
A roast wrap at The Paper Mill
At The Paper Mill in Lasswade, I loved the roast beef Yorkshire pudding wrap. It’s the kind of satisfying, memorable lunch worth knowing about when you’re exploring beyond central Edinburgh, and a useful local tip for guests looking for somewhere relaxed to eat.
A welcoming stop at Cafe Portrait
Cafe Portrait on Queen Street was fast and welcoming. I popped in to hydrate before walking around the gallery, a handy reminder that a good city day is often made up of simple, well-timed stops.
I’ve also added new photos featuring The Conan Doyle on York Place, Renroc on Montgomery Street and The Paper Mill. Recent imagery helps visitors get a better feel for a place before they set off, much like the practical local recommendations we share with our Airbnb guests.
My Google Maps profile now shows 333 photos, 85 reviews and more than 3.3 million views. You can browse my contributions here: https://www.google.com/maps/contrib/110901189836150962567
