Edinburgh Local Guide Updates: The Paper Mill, Cafe Portrait and Murano Pizza
As a Level 6+ Google Local Guide, I love sharing the little details that help people feel at home in a place. This week, my recent contributions include new reviews and photos around Edinburgh, plus a taste of Murano.
A roast wrap in Lasswade, and a gallery stop in town
At The Paper Mill in Lasswade, I loved the roast beef Yorkshire pudding wrap, a memorable brunch choice for anyone exploring beyond the city centre. In Edinburgh, Cafe Portrait made a welcoming stop before a visit to the gallery, with fast, friendly service and a chance to hydrate before wandering around the exhibitions.
A pizza stop on Murano
I also reviewed Osteria Al Duomo on Murano, where the menu offers around 50 pizza toppings. It is the kind of practical detail that helps travellers decide where to pause while exploring the Venetian islands.
Useful local notes for guests
For guests staying with us, thoughtful local recommendations can turn a good trip into an easier, more personal one. Reviews and photos give visitors a clearer sense of what to expect, whether they are planning a relaxed brunch near Edinburgh or looking for a meal while travelling in Venice.
